PUPILS from a major college in York have been studying about voting on enhancements to an area park by a metropolis councillor.
Holgate Ward councillor, Kallum Taylor, visited St Barnabas Major Faculty to ask for the pupils’ assist with deciding between two proposals for enhancements to the close by Victoria Park.
It is a park which the Metropolis of York Council have been intending to enhance for almost three years now, however the scheme has been hit with delays.
Cllr Taylor ran a brief meeting to point out off the 2 submissions obtained by the council from play tools suppliers, Kompan and Wicksteed. He additionally defined the voting course of to the youngsters.
Councillor Taylor stated: “It was nice to place the ultimate determination on the long-awaited enhancements to Victoria Park to the native youngsters. They clearly loved the train and took nice care of their selections.”
The first college even have their very own ‘Faculty Council’, who held a gathering with Cllr Taylor.
