An aluminium merchandise manufacturing enterprise in Dorset, that was based greater than 50 years in the past, has been offered for an undisclosed sum.
Dorchester-based Dorset Aluminium Merchandise, on Poundbury Highway, was acquired by Shaftesbury-based Darren Taylor Holdings.
The Dorchester firm, which was based in 1971 and employs round 30 members of workers, offers a full in-house manufacturing, metallic spinning and ending service. Throughout the pandemic, the agency completed items wanted in Covid testing machines.
The enterprise has an annual turnover of £1.5m and was beforehand owned by Tim Perry, who retired in 2007, and Noel Hope. Mr Hope will stay within the enterprise as managing director.
There shall be no change to the working of the enterprise, in keeping with Darren Taylor Holdings, which additionally owns metallic fabrication and welding firm Aftech Engineering in Swindon.
Mr Taylor stated: “I’m more than happy to have negotiated a profitable cope with Tim and Noel. Mr Hope stated the acquisition was a “new chapter” for the corporate.
