Tributes are being paid to well-known dairy farmer Derek Roan (71), who died in hospital following an incident on his household farm.
“It’s with deepest disappointment to announce the tragic loss of life of Derek Roan at Barnbarroch Farm,” Roan’s Dairy mentioned on Fb.
“We’re completely devastated and nonetheless in shock to what has occurred and it’ll take a while for us to come back to phrases of not having him round.”
Derek is survived by his spouse Kathleen; his kids Stuart, Steven and Leeane; his children-in-law Aylett, Tracey and Tony; and his grandchildren Fergus, Fraser, Andrew, Lucy, Daisy and Skye.
