On Easter Sunday, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, described the federal government’s plan to ship asylum seekers to Rwanda as “reverse the character of God”.
However the Prime Minister hit again, claiming in a gathering with MPs that the Archbishop had criticised the Rwanda deal greater than Russian president Vladimir Putin.
Labour chief Keir Starmer referred to as on the Prime Minister to apologise for his feedback, however Johnson refused.
